The waterfall acts as a dam on the Łomnica River in Karpacz. Visiting the waterfall can be combined with a cable car trip to Kopa or back from the Samotnia Hostel.
It is a small river, but its large drop and special location on the bottom of the valley with steep slopes, especially during the thaws, can quickly rise and deposit a large amount of stones and trees. The dam was built in the years 1910-1915, since then its task is to stop the deposited materials by the river. Over time, the dam was called the Wild Waterfall.
